In the summer of 2020 St. Luke's Episcopal Church and St. James on the Parkway Episcopal voted to consolidate, forming a new Episcopal community in Minneapolis. Just as we united, COVID tried to push everyone apart. But that didn't stop our coming together. We gathered as a united community online via Facebook and YouTube, in small groups via Zoom, and when the weather would allow, in outdoor worship services. Our transition continues as we search for a new Rector for our united congregation. Read the full consolidation document here.
Certainty is overrated. It's our questions that keep us searching; our questions keep our faith active. We believe that the church can be a safe space to wonder, to think, to worship, to love, and to heal.
